History Zobor Monastery
The oldest and most valuable written documents from our territory - the Zobor Documents, dating from 1111 and 1113 - are also connected to the monastery. Thanks to a mobile application and 3D augmented reality technology, you can see the ancient form of the Zobor monastery and listen to a narration about it. You can also get a glimpse into the dwelling and life of a Camaldolese monk.
History Topoľčianky Castle
In the past it was the summer residence of the Habsburgs, after the World War I. it served as a presidential summer resort. It was also a favourite place of the first president of the Czechoslovak Republic, T. G. Masaryk. There is a museum in the classicist wing. Visitors can admire the rich library with over 14 thousand volumes, the period interior, rare furniture, pictorial decoration and collections of ceramics and porcelain.
History Valy fortress in the village Bojná
The Valy fortress is a reconstruction of a Slavic settlement directly in nature. In the 9th century it was an important fortified power centre, situated on the trade route between Ponitrie and Považie, where the inhabitants embraced Christianity even before the arrival of St. Cyril and Methodius.
History Levice Castle
The preserved ruins of the Gothic castle are the dominant feature of the town of Levice. The preserved part of the castle, the Captain's House, houses the Tekov Museum. There are exhibitions and a concert hall.
History Nitra Castle
It was built on the site of a Slavic hillfort, the seat of the Nitra princes and the Great Moravian rulers. Today it is the seat of the Nitra bishopric. Enter the enchanting Cathedral of St. Emeram, the casemates, the Vazula Tower or discover the treasures in the Diocesan Museum. During the summer season, enjoy a movie or an open-air concert in the Gothic moat.
History Rotunda of St. George in Nitrianska Blatnica
It was only archaeological research in the 1970s that revealed that the history of the rotunda dates back to the 9th century and was not built in the 16th century, as was erroneously assumed until then. Guided tours of the rotunda are available every Saturday.
History Gýmeš Castle
Hiking trails lead to the castle from the village of Jedľové Kostoľany or the recreation centre Jelenec - Remitáž. There are also many cycling routes leading to the ruins. It is said that guests were welcomed to the castle by the so-called shovel dance. The guest received four blows with a shovel and only then was he entered into the guest book. Visit the castle and see if this story is true.
History Roman camp Kelemantia in Iža
he camp occupied an area of more than 3 hectares and was surrounded by double moats, earthen ramparts and a wooden defensive wall. In the 4th century, the fortress was devastated by the barbarians and today its grounds have been converted into an open-air museum. Here you can see parts of the original and reconstructed buildings.
Nature Arboretum Mlyňany
The whole area consists of five themed parts and its own nursery where you can buy the grown trees and flowers. Part of the arboretum is also dedicated to Slovakia and the part from the entrance to the mansion is dedicated to flowers and rosemary.
History Kolárovo Ship Mill
It is a working replica of the water mill in Radvaň nad Dunajom, which burnt down in 1945 under mysterious circumstances. Nowadays, the building of the boat mill is used as a museum of water milling. A unique wooden bridge leads to the mill. The all-wooden colonnade pedestrian bridge is 86 m long and is one of the longest all-wooden covered bridges in Europe.

The romantic ruin dominates one of the rocky outcrops of Považský Inovec and from the castle tower offers beautiful views of Ponitrie, the ridges of Tríbeč, Vtáčnik and Považský Inovec.
History Oponický Castle
Like many others, Oponický Castle was built in the 13th century as a guard castle for the protection of Nitra. The path to the castle is easy and can be easily managed by all ages. The marked trail leads directly from the village of Oponice.

On the outskirts of the town of Nové Zámky, a bridge over the Nitra River leads you to the large area of the Štrand summer thermal spa. On an area of 8 ha you will find 9 swimming pools. If you get tired of swimming, you can swap it for sports activities on one of the playgrounds in the swimming pool area.
Vineyards Pivnica Brhlovce
Pivnica Brhlovce (Brhlovce cellar) is an artisanal family winery located in the unique Rock dwellings in the village of Brhlovce. Artisan wine is the exact opposite of modern and cool industrial production. Therefore, the wine is made exclusively in the traditional artisanal way without the use of modern industrial oenological preparations. Craft wine is the result of the skill and experience of the winemaker.
Nature Zubria Zvernica
In the oak forests near Topoľčany you have a unique opportunity to see the European bison - the largest European mammal, a relative of the American bison. The bison menagerie is the only place in Slovakia where you can see it. The bison was once a natural part of European forests and was also found on our territory, even as late as the nineteenth century.
Nature Ranch under Babica
The ranch is set in a pleasant environment, surrounded by forests near the village of Bojná. The biggest attraction is the mini zoo, where you will find more than 120 animals from 6 continents. Both experienced and inexperienced fishermen can relax while fishing. They will even prepare a tasty meal from your catch in the local restaurant overlooking the pond.
Nature National Stud Topoľčianky
Part of the complex is also a hipological exhibition with exhibits that will attract both the general public and professionals. Outside of Slovakia, the stud farm is mainly known for its four-oared and classical school with Lipizzaner stallions. Horses from Topoľčianky are successful not only at domestic but also foreign sport events.
